HEAVEN'S NEWEST ANGELS
REV. CHARLES COMMODORE
February 24, 1947 - March 3, 2023
 
Rev. Charles Commodore, 76, of Louisville transitioned to his Heavenly home on Friday, March 3, 2023 surrounded by family at his home. Charles Commodore was born on Monday, February 24, 1947 in Itta Bena, Mississippi, to the union of David Sr. and Leatha Loveless Commodore. He accepted Christ before the early age of ten years old at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Itta Bena, Mississippi, where his dad, David Commodore, Sr. was a Deacon. Charles received his education in Mississippi, and graduated from Threadgill High School in Greenwood, Mississippi in 1967.  Charles graduated from Mississippi Valley State College with a B.A. Degree in Science, Physical Education and Social Studies. Charles and Regina Smith were united in Holy Matrimony, and to this union three children were born; Anita, Sabrina and Charles Reginald “Reggie”.  Charles was preceded in death by his parents, David, Sr., and Leatha; siblings, Mae Francis, Daisy L., David, Jr., and Ruth. On Friday, March 3, 2023, Rev. Charles Commodore, left his earthly home and ascended to Heaven to be with his Heavenly Father. He leaves to cherish his memories, three children, Anita, Sabrina and Charles “Reggie”; four grandchildren, Rapheal, Diamond, Dartaniel, Catalina; one great grandchild, Chanel; one sister, Mary (Mohamad) Mani from Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

Jasper Travis, Jr., a resident of Jax, Fl., passed 11/14/19.

He is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Jane Travis; 2 sisters-in-law, Cherry Long and Martha Allen; brother-in-law, Ralph Buckner; Goddaughter, Jazmine Smith; DCI, Inc., family; other relatives and friends.

A chapel service will be held Saturday at 11:00am at the mortuary.

Visitation of friends will be held at the mortuary, Friday from 5-8pm and in the chapel Saturday from 9:30am until the hour of service.

Elma Ellen (Williams) Carter -also known as, "Brighteye," "Pug," "Mrs. Clean,"

"Mrs. Ellie J," "Easy Breezy," and "Chickadee"-was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on Tuesday, August 16, 1949, to the late John Wesley and Martha Pugh Williams. She was the oldest of four children: following (Johnetta, who preceded her in death, Mitchell, and Catherine). Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend ascended into the ancestral realm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Elma passed away in her home very peacefully and comfortably surrounded by the love of her family.
