tribute by James GarnerLucille, you always had a heart of gold! You and I shared a bond of mutual affection since high school. Never was that more evident than in 2012, when you journeyed to Atlanta to surprise me at my retirement ceremony! I was speechlessly delighted that day, and shall never forget it, nor your other gestures of camaraderie over the years. Rest-in-Heavenly-Peace my sweet friend; I am prayerful we will meet again someday.
tribute by Chris Hinton-LeeGone from our sight, but never from our hearts. We Love You, Lucille!
tribute by Andrew McQueenRest in Peace Lucille. I look forward to seeing you again.
tribute by Solomon HendersonEvery school graduation ceremony I’ve had, you were my marching partner. We marched together from grade school to high school and again, when we graduated from high school. So, it was fitting for us to march together at our 50th high school class reunion. As a member of the Tiger-Team, you contributed richly to the building of the Threadgill High School Class of 1967 website. What a joy and a great privilege it was to work with you on this historical website. We thank God for your sincere focus and positive attitude on the project. My deepest sympathies to Cedric and Lucille’s family, but remember “The people that we love and hold dear to our hearts They're just borrowed, they're not ours at all, Jesus only let us use them to brighten our life.” And that's just what Lucille did in my life.
