Obituary

Camille Reaves was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on July 28. 1948 to the anion of Ruby L. and Anthony Reaves. Sr. He was the sixth of nine children. His father. his oldest sister, Barbara Reaves McBride, and his oldest brother. Anthony Reaves, Jr. preceded him in death. He was baptized and accepted a hope in Christ at an early at Locust Grove Baptist Church in the city of Greenwood. He received his education in the Greenwood Public Schools and graduated from Threadgill High School in June of 1967.

Upon graduation in 1967, Camille relocated to Detroit, Michigan, and gained employment at Chrysler Corporation. He furthered his education by attending morning and evening classes at the Detroit Community College, in the school of business. He attended Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church.

Camille was united in holy matrimony to the lovely Brenda Davidson Reaves for ten years. They had no children in this union, but raised together Stephanie, Derrick and D'Andre.

While he was employed with DaimlerChrysler Corporation, from 1967 until his demise, he worked as an assembly worker. From 1993 to 1999, he was elected to serve on the UAW Local #7 Executive Board, representing Division #5. He also was a member of the Flying Squadron committee of Local #7. At the time of his death, he was an Alternate Benefit Representative and a Future Planning Facilitator: Camille's name cornerstones the UAW Local #7 Hall as an Executive Board Member.

Camille leaves a legacy of love and precious memories that will live in the hearts of many including: his wife, Brenda; daughter; Stephanie McGee of Austell, GA; son, D'Andre Reaves of LaGrange, GA and stepson, Derrick Davidson of Detroit; his mother, Ruby L. Reaves and siblings. Betty Watkins (George) of Newman, GA, Jay Willie Reaves (Barbara) of Madison, AL, Margaret Barnes (Otis) of Omaha, NE. Elizabeth Ruffin (Caleb) of Riverdale, GA. Walter Reaves of College Park, GA, Deborah Stonewall of Cape Girardeau, MO: sister-in-law. Doretha Reaves of Omaha, NE; brothers-in-law. Milton McBride, Sr. of Omaha, NE, Malcolm Lewis (Evette) of Detroit, MI: nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. He also leaves his Detroit family, cousins, James and Lillie Norman and family, to cherish his memories for the past 33 years.
