Threadgill High School Class of 1967 Greenwood, Mississippi July 27, 2019   "Whereas, again a human spirit has taken its flight at the call of the Heavenly Father to the mansion prepared for her from the foundation of the earth by an all-wise and loving God, we pen these resolutions to express our grief."   WE RESOLVE, that Dorothy Jean Franklin was a person who was friendly, warm and showed great humor.   This was exhibited through her kind disposition and unselfish dealings with the Class of 1967 of Threadgill High School.  Family, please think of the last and sweetest home-coming in the Father's house of many mansions. There, your dear love one is waiting for you.  May our blessed Lord come into your heart more completely, and you rest your weary soul on Him...   WE RESOLVE, that her life has not been in vain.  It has filled its place in the world and will always fill a place in our hearts and our memories.  Her soul is safe with the Heavenly Father to dwell throughout eternity...   BE IT ALSO RESOLVED, that we, the classmates of Dorothy Jean Franklin bow in humble submission to the will of God and commend the bereaved family to Him who sees all and knows every heart.  He entreats you to console yourselves in the hope of a reunion, that after life's remaining ills are past; it is healing oil to a wounded heart, comforted with pleasing rather than sad thoughts.   WE FURTHER RESOLVE, that the Threadgill High School Class of 1967 will ever cherish her memory and emulate her admirable traits and express gratitude to God for having shared with us for such a short time, the life of Dorothy. We express to her relatives and friends who grieve over their loss this day, our deepest sympathy and the reminder that on God's calendar these trials and crosses are "But for a Moment."   "But for a moment, the trials and crosses weariness, trouble and tears. When we have passed through the Valley of the Shadows" Then, OH, What Glory appears!   BE IT FURTHERRESOLVED, this resolution will be given to the family and a copy will be kept in the records of the Threadgill High School Class of 1967.   Humbly submitted:  Andrew McQueen-Chairman

Dorothy, The ladies in this picture (Lucille, Queen and I) had just decided at this meal at Crystal Grille, that we would pay you a visit after we finished eating.  We followed Andrew in our cars, since we didn't know where you lived, and he led us to your door.  When you didn't answer the door, we assumed you were just resting, but we were all saddened when we later learned that you had returned to the hospital.  Shortly after we returned to our respective cities after the reunion, we learned you had gotten your Heavenly wings.  You are now in a better place, where there is no sickness and pain, and we hope to join you one day on the other side.
